Since the beginning, the bike share program works on the honor system. If a bike is tied up with a yellow rope, it is in use. If it is untied it is free to use. Anyone can use the bike as long as they need it and when finished they can return it to the Green Bike Co-Op shop in town or leave it in a public location.
EVERY BIKE IN THE FLEET RIDES UNDER THE CONDITION THAT THE BIKE USED MUST “RIDE AT THEIR OWN RISK”
Visitors are welcome to use work stands, tools and used parts for self-repair. We have most bike tools as well as air and a large supply of used parts, tires and tubes for the cyclist in need. Donations for repair work are welcome.
Green Bike Co-Op is a free community service and volunteer operated, public support helps fund the storefront operating costs.
If you are passionate about helping to maintain this unique community program, please consider making a donation to the Green Bike Program of Seashore Family Literacy. Seashore is a nonprofit organization and contributions are tax-deductible.
Join our team of volunteers to keep things rolling in Waldport!
The Co-Op is a community owned operation, driven by adult volunteers & student-apprentices, who restore and maintain more than 100 community bicycles.
Volunteers are encouraged to help others learn repair and maintenance skills. The youth volunteer program provides tangible job skills that offer a sense of pride and accomplishment. Volunteers:
Learn about bike repair & maintenance
